GTECH 1168 is an ammonium salt solution of AEEA phosphonate with a higher pH
level compared to GTECH1145. It is designed as a water-soluble scale inhibitor for squeeze or continuous treatment of calcium and magnesium carbonate, calcium, strontium and barium sulfate, and iron scales in water systems. GTECH 1168 also acts as an intermediate in the formulation of scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors or combination scale/corrosion inhibitors for cooling water, boilers, waterfloods, and drilling systems.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Properties:

GTECH 1168 is an ammonium salt solution of AEEA phosphonate with a higher pH level compared to GTECH1145. It is designed as a water-soluble scale inhibitor for squeeze or continuous treatment of calcium and magnesium carbonate, calcium, strontium and barium sulfate, and iron scales in water systems. GTECH 1168 also acts as an intermediate in the formulation of scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors or combination scale/corrosion inhibitors for cooling water, boilers, waterfloods, and drilling systems.

GTECH 1168 can provide the following benefits:

• Excellent tolerance to high-calcium-content brines

• Can be used at lower dosages compared to similar calcium-tolerant products

• Exhibits very strong anodic properties, which gives excellent applications as a corrosion inhibitor in oxygenated systems such as cooling towers and drilling fluids

• Does not adversely affect the rheological properties of drilling muds
